My musical tastes

Hello class:

Today I'll tell you about my musical tastes. The truth is that there are many "types" of music I like, but clearly I have my favorite’s bands and I also know what type of music I hate with all my heart.

For example, most of people always ask if they prefer the Beatles or the Rolling stones. In my case I prefer both. I think it's quite possible to have varied music taste. To have a varied repertoire it’s ok!

In the international singers, the more I listen are Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. In general, I don’t listening country style music but they are my favorite singers. I think both singers represent a very important period in American music and its continued force is very valuable.

Bob Dylan film (I'm Not There) is about the life of the singer and is made with covers of his music. Is a very good film…I recommend you watch the movie! On the other hand, the film of Johnny Cash (Johnny and June) tells the love story between Johnny and June Carter. It’s not very good as I'm not there, but it is entertaining.

I also listens a lot of music in Spanish, especially the Argentine singers. The best are Andres Calamaro, Spinetta, Soda Stereo, Los Fabulosos cadillacs, and Charly Garcia...he is my idol of the Spanish music.

The type of music I hate is the loud music. I don’t like the singers who scream with the songs. For example, the metal music. It's the worst that exists in music. 

Today the music that is fashionable is the reggeton. People hate it or love it. I don’t like the reggeton to listen but to dance its fine.

My next home

Hello everybody:

I love architecture. I think it is fundamental since the man needed shelter. For the same reason it is often not fully appreciated. Also, by the proportions that can be achieved. Can be difficult to appreciate the human eye, especially in large cities where there are different styles, shapes and magntudes.
In particular, I like small-scale constructions. constructions that my eye can fully appreciate, classic style, with european air and open spaces.
In Providencia, in the street Orreglo Luco, in the middle of the street, exist an amazing building.It is hidden in the middle of the street, but when one meets it's awesome.
Is not very high, 6 floors. The building has no balconies, but all windows have their shutters perfectly white and creepers that fall from the same windows. 
The building has no front garden, borders directly on the street. By the same, looks like a white elephant. Big, the same color, with hints of green creepers. Simple, very simple but elegant. I imagine that the apartments are very spacious.
May be that this building is not an example of architecture. May be that very few people have noticed him but I like it because it is hidden in the midst of all trade in Providence.

My guilty pleasure

I love coffee.  I think that is a drink very necessary in my day to day. Before I was fanatic of tea but when   I started University all changed.

I researched about coffee and your kinds. Exist two kinds of bean, well two bean more famous: Robusta and Arabic. Robusta is a bean more strong, with more body and with more caffeine. Arabic bean is more soft, more aromatic and contain less caffeine. Caffeine is important because contain a component that have stimulating effect on human.

I prefer Arabic bean because is more relax. My body not suffer caffeine´s  effect.

Exist many forms of prepare the coffee. I like the coffee of the machine. In especially when the bean was milled in the act.

Preparations of coffee exist many, but to me I like the classic preparation like “espresso”, “macciatto” and “cappuccino”. Those were your names in italian.

The preparation that more like me is cappuccino. Capuccino is a coffee with milk but also with foamed milk. Cup are three equal parts. A measure of milk, other mesaure of foamed milk and one of coffee.  Also is good with cocoa. It have a taste more sweet.

The espresso is only coffee. Is like a shot. In particular, I don’t like too much because is very strong and very bitter. The macciatto it the same to espresso, but with a little of foamed.

In a moment of my life I work in a coffee and I learned all about coffee.

Although Santiago is not the city or place more attractive of country has something that makes it special. I like a lot more in winter. When the mountain is snow, especially after it rains. Santiago many things I like. In particular it is a city of low buildings, walkable at its core. Not very big and not so small. I especially like the old Santiago. That which is near Central Station or "Persa Bio Bio". I like the neighborhoods where you can buy things at low cost, like Patronato or Meiggs. I believe that Santiago is interesting to know the center: square, museums, Santa Lucía hill, San Cristóbal hill, Bellavista neighborhood, Italia neighborhood or Brasil neighborhood, especially its nightlife. But what I like most is that this closet the beach and mountains. The weekend is the perfect moment to scape to those place.

I think that is the most attractive of all, also for the tourist.

My future

I think that in ten years, I hope to work on what I studied. I would like to work in the restoration department of a museum or an institution. Obviously before, I studied in another country. But, I hope to be living in Chile. The truth does not matter. I could be anywhere. Besides, I like to be near my family. So I guess living in Chile. Also, I would like to have a partner. I don´t know if the idea would be to have children. I am not sure if I want to be mother. I don´t know. It is not clear yet.
I would like to have a place to live. Realize the dream of home ownership. An apartment or house. I don´t care. I think I prefer an apartment. Simple architecture, hopefully a little old. In a quiet neighborhood with lots of green areas, good restaurants, designer shops, a library or museum. I´d like to live in Santiago, but I´d like to have a house on the beach or in the field. Have the opportunity to go all the weekends.

I hope that not exist many changes. I hope changes in health area, biology area, physics area.  In all areas that benefit humanity.

Guernica

One of the paintings that I like es the Guernica by Pablo Picasso.
I studied art history, and always was a reference. In particular, always caught my attention because of its historical and political content.
When I was in Spain, I had the chance to see it live and direct, in the Reina Sofia Museum.
Guernica is a painting in response to the bombing of Guernica, Basque Country, by German and Italian warplanes at the behest of the Spanish Nationalist forces, on 26 April 1937, during the Spanish Civil War.

The Spanish Republican government commissioned Pablo Picasso to create a large mural for the Paris International Exposition in 1937. Guernica shows the tragedies of war and the suffering it inflicts upon individuals, particulary innocent civilians.
This work has gained a monumental status, becoming a perpetual reminder of the tragedies of war, an anti war symbol, and an embodiment of peace.
On completion Guernica was displayed around the world in a brief tour, becoming famous and widely acclaimed. This tour helped bring the Spanish Civil War to the world`s attention.

Guernica es grey, black and white, 3,5 metres tall and 7,8 metres wide, a mural size canvas painted in oil.

Finally, it is a painting that I really like their format, their colors and especially by its content.

A entertaining book

I don´t know if this book is my favourite, but is very entertaining.

The book tells the story about count dracula. The truth is more tan that, talk about a woman who tracks the Impaler. She discovers a book that is at home when I was very small. Her father forbids it because the book is cursed. She obeys but does not forget the book.

Then it grows and looks for the notebook. Without the permission of his father she go to the land of Dracula. There begins a travel for a different countries of Europe, in especially of eastern part. Also is a journey where she falls, but de most important things is that she reveals the truth about count. An important fact is that the little book has a dragon drawn, and is the key to all the research.

Is a book of many pages but very entertaining to read. One can´t stop reading.

I don´t buy it, I think it´s my mom. Is a special book for summer days.

My favourite beach

The past year, I went to Brazil with a friend. We traveled  for many cities of this country, but when we were in Rio both decide to go"Isla Grande", in front of "Angra dos reis". In this island exist the most beautiful beach in this world. Your name is Lopez Mendes. You can only arrive.
Many people visit this beach, especially young man because the wave is very good for to practice surf.
Lopez Mendes is very large and your sand is like flour, fine and white. The sea is dangerous because is open but all people swim. The most funny is jumping waves. I never gorget that beach. I want back soon.
But, another beach that I love is "Tunquen".
Tunquen is near of Santiago. I like because is a beach very calm and quiet, ideal to go with family. I love going in winter, not many people and is perfect for sleeping. Also is near to Algarrobo if you need something.
The last time I went was with a group of friends. The only thing we did was eat, drink and play like poker or "dudo", a play with leather glasses and dice. We had a great moment.

My experience

My experience with the english started many years ago, from primary education. But the true is that never I like too much.
I Know is very important in this period, in special in the work world, for this I need to learn english.
I like to learn because can to understand other culture, other language and the possibility of communicate with the people of the world. The english is the universal language. But, I don´t like the english class in general. It´s very boring. Maybe because I don´t understand
The most difficult about learning is can to speak in english. The chilean people is very bashful, and many time we feel scary to speak in public or with other people, in special with people of the other countries.
Well, about the culture, I like...I don´t know too much about the culture. Never I´ve been in a anglo-saxon country. But for movies, I think that enjoy too much food, sports, shopping and music.
